Regional builder Maronda Homes launches a new software system this week, promising to streamline and transform its customer service and home warranty claims processes.

The new AI-powered solution, created for Maronda by LATO AI, helps homeowners quickly and easily access repair services to address issues in their new homes covered by the Maronda Homes Protection Plan.

Providing fully customized, AI-powered automation systems and boutique-level attention, LATO AI delivers tech solutions to improve operations and workflow for companies across the transportation, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, distributing and e-commerce sectors. LATO's tailored solutions solve real-world problems, saving businesses like Maronda Homes time and money by helping them identify new ways to streamline internal processes, boosting efficiency and revenue growth.

Maronda Homes is a private, family-owned and operated business, building new homes in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia. Customers are encouraged to evaluate their homes for six months after moving in and report any concerns to the warranty department. Finding a simple and efficient way to coordinate service request intake and contractor scheduling across Maronda’s multi-state operation was key.

“We created a very easy system for homeowners to be able to submit service tickets and have them approved and scheduled,” said LATO founding Co-partner and CEO Michael Reynolds.

The upgrade integrates an intelligent voice assistant into Maronda’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to seamlessly manage incoming warranty-related calls, verify caller identity and collect the information needed to generate customer support tickets.

The assistant matches the caller’s name, address, email and phone number with their home’s unique job identification number in Maronda’s ERP system and fleshes out the support ticket with information on the problem in the home, including its location, severity and onset date. If photo documentation is needed, the AI assistant generates a secure upload link and sends the homeowner a personalized invitation to upload pictures.

“The assistant allows homeowners to initiate repairs 24 hours, seven days a week and will eliminate time-consuming exchanges between the customer and service coordinators at the early stages of the claims process,” according to LATO AI founding Co-partner and COO Dan Zabokrytskyi.

A second phase of the project, currently in development, will employ AI technology to evaluate customer photos and automatically triage service requests to the appropriate service coordinator.

“For over five decades, Maronda Homes has been dedicated to building quality new homes at an affordable price, with unparalleled attention to customer service,” said Maronda Executive Vice President Matthew Wilson. “LATO AI is helping us implement innovations that will help us continually refine and enhance our processes to give our new homeowners the best possible service experience.”
